The Mighty Parasound NewClassic 200 Integrated Amp & DAC In The House! First Impressions And Unboxing Pics!

My first experience with the $1195 Parasound NewClassic 200 Integrated Amp & DAC was eye-opening.

It was part of an impressive display at this year’s RMAF, where it was matched up with a massive pair of $4500 Tekton MOAB speakers.

It was a combination so successful; I felt it was possibly the best-sounding rig at the show, a sentiment echoed by several others rushing through the hallways. I was astonished at how this slim-line integrated managed such a high-level over such a monstrous pair of towers; I knew I needed to get one to audition in my listening space.

Fortunately, I was able to do just that, as one landed on my doorstep a few days ago. I look forward to hearing what it can do in my small space with much less imposing speakers. Parasound is well known for providing excellent value for the money, and they further build on that reputation by providing a compact integrated/DAC with tons of features at a very attainable price. Stay tuned for my review.
