Audiolab has announced the integration of Qobuz Connect into its 9000N network audio streamer ($3,699). This new feature was announced at the HIGH END show in Munich on May 15, 2025, and the 9000N is amongst the first to incorporate it. This new feature lets users stream music directly from the Qobuz streaming service. Control of the music occurs through the Qobuz application on smart devices.
Previously, Audiolab 9000N users streamed Qobuz via Bluetooth, AirPlay, or Chromecast, which could limit audio quality. Another option involved using the streamer’s built-in app, which offered a less comprehensive Qobuz experience. Qobuz Connect provides a new, direct streaming path. This addition aligns with similar features found on other platforms, such as Tidal Connect and Spotify Connect. These features prioritize both convenience and higher sound fidelity.

Qobuz is known for its focus on high-resolution audio files. As a result, Qobuz Connect is a significant addition to a high-performance streamer like the Audiolab 9000N. The new functionality gives users a more direct way to access high-quality audio from the popular French audio service. This is particularly important for audiophiles who value sound fidelity. Users can now fully leverage Qobuz’s offerings.
Existing owners of the Audiolab 9000N can enable Qobuz Connect by updating the firmware for the streaming section. This update is available over-the-air (OTA). Owners should ensure the “Check for Firmware Updates” setting is active in the 9000N’s menu. Once the device finds the update, it will prompt the user to begin the download and installation process.
Audiolab also recommends additional steps. Users should verify they have the latest version of the Qobuz application. They should also update the 9000N’s core firmware to version 1.17. This firmware is downloadable from the Audiolab website. It is located at audiolab.co.uk/pages/firmware-drivers. They say these steps will ensure the best performance with Qobuz Connect.
