Bowers & Wilkins Unveils Formation Flex, A Smaller Take On Their Wireless Audio Tech

Bowers & Wilkins has expanded their wireless Formation Series with the new Formation Flex.

The Flex is the smallest speaker in the range (Height: 8.5 in, Width: 5.1 in, Depth: 5.1 in), which as the name suggests, allows flexibility in use and placement.

As stated in the press release:

The Formation Flex features the same tweeter technology found in the award-winning 600 series speakers, so the consumer gets the same amazingly clear sound quality of our wired speaker. Designed to be versatile the Formation Flex can be used independently, paired with another Formation Flex for stereo sound, or any other Formation speaker for a whole home audio system including the Formation Bar for an immersive 5.1 surround sound experience. Formation Flex lives up to the exacting immersive, high-fidelity standards of Bowers & Wilkins while continuing to redefine “wireless audio” standards in the industry – true to its groundbreaking heritage and making Formation Flex part of the Highest Form of Sound™.

As expected, the Flex incorporates the same tech that made the initial Formation offerings significant, including 96/24 bit high-resolution streaming, mesh wireless networking, plus compatibility with many music streaming protocols like  WiFi, Apple® AirPlay 2®, Spotify®Connect, Roon, and Bluetooth.
