It Looks Like Another Hit! BLON Launches The Tantalizing BL-05 Budget Earbuds

Last year, a company I never heard of named BLON shook up the headphone enthusiast scene with a cheap IEM‌ called the BL-03.

For an earphone that cost less than $30 bucks, it was fancy enough and sounded good enough to capture the attention of everyone in the headphone forums. Many compared its sound to earphones that cost several times its price. I dug it when I did my review.

Now for 2020, BLON‌ is back with the BL-05, a more ambitious IEM‌ that doesn’t cost much more than the popular BL-03. The 05 has a similar silver metallic color to the 03, but the newer model has gold accents, which give it a more premium look.

It also has an all-new design for the housings which not only looks great but provides an improved fit over the original earphone we wrote about last year. This time around, there are also several color options, starting with Gunmetal and Silver, with a Green version to follow.

Besides the cosmetic upgrades, the BL-05 is also said to have a new version of the 10mm Carbon Nanotube Diaphragm Dynamic Driver that made the BL-03 sound so good. It’s supposed to provide improved transparency and low-end response.

The BL-05 is available now at hifigo.com with special preorder pricing of $42 for the version without mic and $43 for the version with a mic cable. You can also pre-order at Amazon.com.
