ACT Music Joins Qobuz for High-Resolution Streaming Collaboration

Qobuz, the French platform for high-quality streaming and downloading (1-month free trial here), announced a new international partnership with ACT Music, the legendary German jazz label. The two companies announced the partnership on April 17, 2025. ACT Music is an independent label founded by Siggi Loch in 1992.

The collaboration will provide an enhanced musical experience on Qobuz, with exclusive editorial content and videos showcasing artists from the ACT Music catalog. Additionally, the platform will feature curated playlists, selected by Qobuz’s team of music experts. Music enthusiasts will also find download opportunities from the German label’s catalog, with most titles available in 24-bit high-resolution quality.

Furthermore, listeners can rediscover significant talents in the contemporary jazz scene, such as Nils Landgren, Wolfgang Haffner, and Youn Sun Nah. Other notable artists include Émile Parisien, Vincent Peirani, the Esbjörn Svensson Trio (E.S.T.), Michael Wollny, Joachim Kühn, Bill Laurance, and Emma Rawicz. Many other musicians have also contributed to the label’s international reputation.

This partnership continues Qobuz’s trend of collaborating with renowned music labels. Previous partners include Blue Note, Deutsche Grammophon, and ECM Records. Qobuz is reinforcing its position as a leader in providing original, high-quality musical content.

The ACT Music campaign will be implemented across the entire Qobuz ecosystem, including its streaming applications, Qobuz Magazine, and the download store. Selected albums will be offered at discounts of up to 30%. Qobuz subscribers will also have access to exclusive content, such as curated playlists and artist videos, which pay tribute to the featured labels. Qobuz will unveil this content gradually.

ACT is recognized as one of the premier curators of progressive jazz and creative music, as noted by Downbeat. Founded by Siggi Loch in 1992, the label has been managed by Siggi Loch and Andreas Brandis since 2015. ACT operates out of Berlin and Munich and has established itself as a global player in the music industry.
