Bowers & Wilkins Redefines Premium Portable Listening With the New Pi6 and Pi8 Wireless Earbuds

Renowned audio brand Bowers & Wilkins has launched the Pi6 and Pi8, its latest True Wireless earbuds. Engineered by the same team responsible for their Px7 S2e and Flagship over-ear Px8 headphones, these earbuds are said to represent a significant step forward in comfort, audio quality, and noise cancellation for portable listening.

The Pi6, designed to offer exceptional value, utilizes an advanced Qualcomm chipset for improved wireless stability and supports aptX Adaptive for high-resolution audio. It is equipped with 12mm bio-cellulose drive units, derived from the award-winning Px7 S2e headphones, to deliver impressive sound in a compact package.

The flagship Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 takes performance to the next level with proprietary Carbon Cone drive unit technology, also featured in the Px8 headphones. Supporting both aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless, the Pi8 incorporates a dedicated DSP, DAC, and amplification for the highest possible audio resolution.

Both models boast a refined design with premium materials and IP54 water resistance. Their shape, informed by extensive research on human ear forms, is developed for a comfortable fit and effective noise cancellation for a wide range of users.

In addition, both earphones have Multipoint Bluetooth pairing, Made for iPhone (MFI) support, and upcoming Google Fast Pair to support an enhanced user experience. The Pi8 also includes a five-band Advanced EQ for personalized sound tailoring.

Strategically placed microphones and advanced noise-rejection technology are present to deliver clear voice calls. Furthermore, the Pi8’s noise cancellation technology, derived from the Px8 headphones, minimizes unwanted noise without compromising audio quality.

Rated battery life is impressive. The Pi6 offers up to 8 hours of listening time and an additional 16 hours from the charging case. The Pi8 provides 6.5 hours of playback and an extra 13.5 hours from the Smartcase, which also supports wireless charging and audio retransmission. That last bit is quite innovative since the retransmission lets you use the case as a Bluetooth adapter, playing audio from wired sources to the earbuds.

The Pi8 is available now for $399, while the Pi6 will be available in early September for $249.
