Check Out This Week’s Best Sounding New Music Releases!
Every #NewMusicFriday, we pick a bunch of the best-sounding new albums so you can get your audiophile music fix!… As usual, it’s a very eclectic mix (Albums are arranged with more traditional audiophile genres like Jazz and Blues at the top and the non-traditional audiophile stuff towards the bottom). Check out the TIDAL streams below!
Album of the week: Uffe Steen Trio & Vestbo Trio -“Grooves”
The great thing about this band is that it’s all about the music. it’s not about who gets to solo and who’s the star and all that stuff. It’s about playing together. It’s about the groove!
“Grooves” is our new album together with Uffe Steen Trio. It’s the follow-up to the “Doppler Effect” album we released together in 2018. But this time, there’s a new twist:
“Grooves” brings our two trios together, forming what is now a powerful sextet! On “Grooves,” you get all 6 of us playing together on all the tracks. It’s no longer two trios – it’s a band!
We’re very proud to present this new album to you!

I’m an audio writer who started as a young audio salesman/consumer electronics professional back in the late 90s. That’s where I discovered the magic of 2-Channel sound. My hunger for great sound has led me on a delightful music quest that continues today.
