Let me cut to the chase: if you’re in the market for a new pair of wireless earbuds, and prioritize sound quality over Active Noise Cancelling, the Final ZE3000 True Wireless Earbuds are worth considering.
First and foremost, the standout feature of the Final ZE3000 earbuds is the sound. These earbuds offer a clean, transparent, and natural sound that is detailed and well-controlled. The tonal balance is beautiful, with impactful bass that is detailed without being overpowering and mellow, warm vocals that add a sense of depth to the overall sound signature. The earbuds also offer an expansive soundstage for an immersive listening experience.
That said, the balanced sound probably won’t be for everyone since the Final ZE3000s are not bass monsters in any regard. The bass is pretty deep and articulate but not all that punchy, which takes some of the liveliness out of modern genres like hip-hop and dance music. Instead, they do their best on well-recorded, acoustic genres like classical, jazz, singer-songwriter, etc.
But the sound quality isn’t the only thing that sets the Final ZE3000 earbuds apart. It’s supported by the ZE3000’s inclusion of the relatively new aptX Adaptive codec, which provides high-bandwidth (24/96 hi-res equivalent) wireless audio that is on par with some wired headphones.
The only issue with this new codec is its lack of widespread support when it comes to sources. The competing LDAC codec from Sony is found on many more phones and tablets on the market, including popular models from Samsung, which don’t support aptX Adaptive.
On the bright side, by featuring the latest Bluetooth 5.2 technology and several other audio codecs (AAC, SBC, aptX), you’ll find support for near-CD audio quality on just about any iOS or Android device. Additionally, connection speed and stability are also outstanding.

The odd shape of the earpieces did take some getting used to at first, but I got used to the feeling after the first couple of wears. That said, they are incredibly lightweight, which adds to their overall comfort.
The earbuds also come with five sizes (SS, S, M, L, LL) of Final’s proprietary “TYPE-E” dual-density ear tips to fit all ear sizes well. The ear tips also provide a good comfortable seal, and decent passive noise canceling in lieu of active noise cancellation.
The charging case is also slim and compact, making it easy to carry around in your pocket or bag. In addition, the earbuds are easy to pair with your smartphone or another Bluetooth-enabled device, as they automatically connect when you take them out of the charging case.
The earbuds also offer up to 35 hours of total music playback from the case (7 hours per individual charge), making them a good choice for long trips or extended listening sessions without frequent recharging. The earbuds also feature an IPX4 rating, making them resistant to sweat and water, which makes them a quality choice for workouts and outdoor activities.
One potential downside to the Final ZE3000 earbuds is that they don’t offer active noise cancellation. However, as mentioned, the earbuds provide passive noise isolation, which does a good job of blocking out external noise.
