Meet Evo: Cambridge Audio’s New Premium All-In-One Music System Has It All!

Today Cambridge Audio unveiled its new Premium All-In-On music system named Evo. The system is based on two streaming integrated amps, the $3000 EVO 150 with 150 amps per channel and the $2250 EVO 75 with 75 watts per channel. The EVO 150 also has more connections, along with an option for hooking up two sets of speakers.

However, both have a beautiful new design with customizable side panels to switch up the look, well-respected Hypex NCore® Class D power modules, ESS Sabre DACs, and Cambridge Audio’s capable StreamMagic platform. This brings along app control, Roon Ready connectivity, Tidal Connect, amongst other connectivity options. There is also aptX HD Bluetooth, and MQA decoding is on board as well.

The two EVO streaming amplifiers will be available this month.  They will be followed up by an add-on EVO CD Transport plus EVO Speakers later this year.

Minimal, timeless design
Designed in Cambridge Audio’s London studio, Evo’s minimal and timeless aesthetic
will fit into any interior and lifestyle. Lead designer Ged Martin chose premium materials
and used industrial design principles to create a product that champions simplicity and

Taking inspiration from the wood trims of the iconic P40, Cambridge Audio’s first ever

Evo uses high quality components and is powered by a revolutionary Hypex NCore®

digital music formats and services.

Both Evo models use powerful ESS Sabre DACs to ensure all digital music is converted
to analogue sound with every ounce of detail, precision and dynamics intact.

Whether you use Roon to organize your digital library or stream high-resolution MQA
tracks using TIDAL Connect – Evo can play it all. And StreamMagic will ensure you that

Software updates and new features can be added remotely using the StreamMagic app,
so you can be sure that Evo is always evolving and will be at the cutting edge of
streaming technology.

Stuart George, Managing Director, Cambridge Audio, said: “At Cambridge Audio,
we think evolution is about even more than improving the quality of the sound you hear
and enhancing your enjoyment of music. Evolution is also about transforming the
convenience and usability of hi-fi without compromising its performance. Evolution is
about bringing hi-fi into the future, making it fit your lifestyle, and ensuring it looks just as
good as it sounds.

“Evo is the product we’ve been leading up to for over 50 years.”

system. Along with optical, coaxial and RCA inputs, there is a TV ARC input for
connecting your TV using an HDMI cable.

A 3.5mm headphone socket lets you plug in your favorite pair of headphones and listen
to music at all hours. You can also connect your wireless turntable and wireless
headphones using Evo’s built-in aptX HD Bluetooth, allowing you to enjoy highdefinition
streamed music without the need for wires.
