Every time I listen to DALI speakers, I revel in how they bring out the emotion in the music…it’s hard not to bop your head or tap your foot when playing a pair. The OBERON series to me represents a sweet spot in the DALI line where you are getting the most DALI sound for the money…if that makes sense.
I have listened to the OBERON 5 ($549 each) at my local audio shop, and I liked what I heard, but to be honest, I didn’t trust the placement of the speakers or the room. So it’s nice to get them on my home turf. The first thing that amazed me when I pulled them out of the box and placed them next to my standmount speakers was how compact they were. They were even smaller than I remembered.
However, when I fired them up, the scale of the sound was immense. They sounded like speakers twice the size, and the bass was so deep that it shook the room. I’m really looking forward to running all my test tracks through them….Stay tuned for the review!
