Every New Music Friday, we pick some of the best-sounding new albums so you can get your audiophile music fix!… As usual, it’s a very eclectic mix (Albums are arranged with more traditional audiophile genres like Jazz and Blues at the top and the non-traditional audiophile stuff towards the bottom). This time, we’re featuring Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” as Album Of The Week. To quote Swift, she says, “it’s a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.” It’s the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout Taylor’s life.
The singer/songwriter’s 10th studio album is full of songs about love, loss, heartbreak, and self-reflection and features superstar Lana Del Rey amongst others. Not only that, she co-produced the project with Grammy Winner Jack Antonoff, who won the 2022 Grammy for Producer of the Year.
Additionally, check out the new album from Arctic Monkeys, “The Car” it’s a great project that deftly cycles through many Genres, including funk, pop, and of course, “Rock and Roll.”
