About a week ago, FiiO held their summer launch event where they announced a bunch of new products. One of the most intriguing is the new BTR7 Bluetooth DAC/Amp, their new flagship portable DAC that includes both dual THX AAA-28 amp chips and dual ES9219C Dual DAC chipsets.
This allows true balanced output through the 4.4mm balanced output, and you also get a 3.5mm jack for single-ended output. Output power maxes out at around 240mW (at 32ohms) which is really good for a device this size.
The BTR7’s robust QCC5124 Bluetooth 5.0 chip provides support for CD-Quality wireless sound (AAC/SBC/aptX/aptX LL/aptX HD/LDAC codecs), and a one-touch dongle mode turns it into a USB DAC capable of MQA rendering.
In addition, you get a brightly colored IPS display, app support, and wireless charging support all for the affordable price of $219 ($239 with lightning cable). This seems like a lot of features for the cash and we can’t wait to get our hands on one. The BTR7 is now available for pre-order from hifigo.com.
