The Wharfedale Diamond Series speaker is legendary for it’s high performance at a very reasonable price point. The Diamond 10.1 version also adds a very nice fit and finish, along with many technical enhancements one would expect from a much higher priced speaker.
At it’s original price of $349 it was a bargain, but at it’s current clearance price of $199, it’s an absolute steal…This is a great speaker to anchor a budget hi-fi system.
Robert Reina had this to say in Stereophile Magazine:
the 10.1 presents extraordinary value for money, with many strengths that suggest a considerably higher price, and no meaningful weaknesses.
Features:
- Soft dome tweeter delivers crystal clear high frequency definition up to 30kHz
- 5″ Kevlar bass driver & twin rear-firing ports for astounding bottom end punch
- Curved side panels reduce panel flex and cancel internal standing waves
- Full internal cross-bracing for reduced enclosure vibration
- Open back driver design for zero back-wave bleed through the cone
