What follows is a press release from Audio-Technica:

STOW, OhioJan. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — At CES 2018 Audio-Technica is premiering a host of products including the ATH-ANC700BT QuietPoint over-ear wireless active noise-cancelling headphones, the ATH-DSR5BT, Audio-Technica’s first wireless in-ear headphones to feature exclusive Pure Digital Drive audio technology, the new top of the line AT-LP7 turntable and more.

“At CES 2018 we’re expanding our wireless headphone models across a wider range of product categories and price points than ever before,” noted Bob Peet, Audio-Technica U.S Marketing Manager. “In addition, we’re building upon our reputation for high-performance vinyl playback with the AT-LP7, our finest turntable ever.”

Following is an overview of the new products on exhibit at CES 2018 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 20854, South Hall Lower Level and at The Venetian, Suite 29-336 (January 9 – 12, 2018).

Audio-Technica’s ATH-ANC700BT QuietPoint over-ear wireless active noise-cancelling (ANC) headphones features newly developed ANC technology that operates in a wider frequency range in the low through midrange frequencies than typical ANC designs, for a significant advancement in noise-cancelling performance and audio quality. The ATH-ANC700BT’s ANC microphones are mounted in a location where, unlike typical ANC headphones, they don’t unintentionally pick up some of the generated noise-cancelling signal, which yields improved noise reduction performance.

The ATH-ANC700BT (SRP: US$199.00, available March 2018) features a new, intuitive touch and swipe control system for answering calls and controlling volume and playback. The ATH-ANC700BT employs large 40 mm drivers for impactful Hi-Res Audio frequency response from 5 Hz – 40,000 Hz when connected with the included 3.5 mm cable. The ATH-ANC700BT provides up to 25 hours of battery life in ANC and Bluetooth® mode and can also be used in wired mode.

The ATH-DSR5BT wireless headphones with Pure Digital Drive (SRP: US$399.00, available Spring 2018) is Audio-Technica’s first in-ear model to incorporate this exclusive technology. The award-winning Pure Digital Drive system keeps the audio signal completely digital from source to driver, using a dedicated chipset to eliminate the sonic degradation that can be caused in traditional D/A converters and amplifiers.

The ATH-DSR5BT employs highly responsive Dual-Phase Push-Pull D/A Drivers to receive the digital signals directly from the chipset. Co-developed by Audio-Technica and Trigence Semiconductor, Inc., this unique chipset improves the performance of the Pure Digital Drive system, enabling it to reproduce sound with a wider dynamic range. The headphones support up to 24-bit/48kHz signals in Bluetooth transmission. The rechargeable battery provides approximately eight hours of continuous use (500 hours standby).

The new AT-LP7 Belt Drive Turntable is the culmination of more than 50 years of Audio-Technica vinyl-playback design expertise. The AT-LP7 (SRP: US$799.00, available March 2018) features an anti-resonance platter and chassis, VM520EB high-performance phono cartridge, a J-shaped tonearm, a built-in moving magnet/moving coil phono preamp, a speed sensor-monitored motor and more.

Winner of a CES 2018 Innovation Honoree Award, the flagship ATH-ADX5000 open-back headphones are the finest ever created by Audio-Technica. The Hi-Res Audio-capable ATH-ADX5000 (SRP: US$1,999.00, available now) features the company’s patent-pending Core Mount Technology (CMT), which symmetrically positions the driver within an Integrated Driver Unit. This configuration provides the ideal amount of bass cancellation, which is necessary for accurate low-frequency response. The ATH-ADX5000’s magnesium frame allows a slim, rigid lightweight construction and the earpads are made of environmentally friendly Alcantara microfiber material.

Audio-Technica is expanding its range of wireless in-ear and over-ear headphones with new Solid Bass®, Sonic Sport®, Sound Reality® and other models. The Solid Bass ATH-WS990BT with active noise cancellation and ATH-WS660BT, Sonic Sport ATH-SPORT70BT and ATH-SPORT50BT, Sound Reality ATH-CKR75BTATH-CKR55BTATH-CKR35BT and the over-ear ATH-S200BT and in-ear ATH-CK200BT available in a variety of styles, colors and price points to accommodate every listening preference and budget. All feature controls for compatible smartphones and portable devices. Depending on the model the headphones offer features such as newly developed Deep Motion Drivers, Hi-Res Audio capability and much more. (SRP: US$69.00 – US$249.00, available from now through March 2018.)

Audio-Technica’s ultra-high-end AT-ART1000 Direct Power Stereo Moving Coil Cartridge places its dual moving coils directly on top of the stylus tip (rather than at the base of the cantilever as in conventional designs) to deliver remarkable fidelity. The AT-ART1000 (SRP: US$4,999.00) is being demonstrated at Audio-Technica’s high-end audio exhibit at The Venetian in Suite 29-336.
