HeadAmp Gilmore Lite Mk2 Headphone Amp In The House! First Impressions And Unboxing Pics

I first heard the $499 HeadAmp Gilmore Lite Mk2 headphone amplifier at AXPONA this year. I was so impressed with how it drove a pair of Meze’s Flagship Empyrean headphones that I had to reach out to the company for a unit to put through the paces at the crib. Thankfully, HeadAmp obliged and sent a unit out for review.

The Gilmore Lite is a relatively small Class A design with the gusto to drive any headphone out there. It has dual analog inputs and a pre-out to allow usage as a preamp, and It’s built like a tank. Every one is also handmade in the U.S of A, something you don’t hear much anymore.

So far I have run it with a pair or Mr. Speakers Aeon Flow Closed and a pair of Focal Elears, and the results have been impressive. Stay tuned for the review…
